Vietnam Airlines increases flights from Hanoi to Dien Bien to serve the opening ceremony of National Tourism Year - Dien Bien

Accompanying the National Tourism Year - Dien Bien 2024 event, from March 6-30, Vietnam Airlines has doubled the frequency of flights to Dien Bien (from one flight to two flights per day) to serve the National Tourism Year 2024, towards the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu victory.

Vietnam Airlines welcomed passengers on flights to Dien Bien after Dien Bien Airport officially resumed operations.

On March 17 alone, Vietnam Airlines increased three flights from Hanoi to Dien Bien and vice versa to meet the travel needs of people and tourists. Ms. Lo Thi Yen, Director of Dien Bien Airport, said: On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory and the implementation of activities of the National Tourism Year and the Ban Flower Festival in 2024, passengers to and from Dien Bien increased strongly. Therefore, Vietnam Airlines and Vietjet Air have increased the frequency of flights from Hanoi to Dien Bien, Ho Chi Minh City to Dien Bien and vice versa. Specifically, there are currently 3 to 5 flights/day with a total of -2 to -4 flights Hanoi-Dien Bien-Hanoi and 1 flight Ho Chi Minh City-Dien Bien-Ho Chi Minh City; passengers passing through Dien Bien Airport have reached about 1,000 passengers/day. To best serve the travel needs and ensure passenger safety, Dien Bien Airport has developed and implemented a peak service plan, ensuring human resources and equipment for flights. Identifying the significance and importance of the activities of the National Tourism Year - Dien Bien, the Dien Bien Ban Flower Festival 2024 and activities towards the 70th Anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory, Dien Bien Airport has proactively coordinated closely with the functional agencies of Dien Bien province to promote the image of Dien Bien to the people and tourists; creating an impressive, friendly and beautiful space for passengers when arriving at Dien Bien Airport - the first destination for tourists arriving by air to Dien Bien province.
