This aircraft with a new and iconic look is the crystallization of the depth of national culture and the vision of global integration. The image of the Lac bird, a symbol originating from the Dong Son era, is depicted on the fuselage of the Boeing 787, the most modern aircraft in the world today, and also the most technologically advanced mainstay in Vietnam Airlines' fleet.

The Lac Bird is not only an artistic image, but also a cultural declaration expressing the wish for a prosperous future, for the breakthrough and longevity of the Vietnamese people in the flow of globalization.

In the context of the country entering a new stage of development, with the orientation of promoting Vietnamese cultural values and people as pillars for endogenous strength and sustainable development clearly defined in the Documents of the 13th National Party Congress, Vietnam Airlines' choice to recreate the image of the Lac bird on the world's most modern aircraft is a concrete, vivid action, expressing that spirit in a creative and responsible way.

The image of the Lac bird on the fuselage of the plane is not only a cultural symbol, but also an affirmation of the aspiration to rise up, integrate and affirm the Vietnamese national identity in the world sky.

Mr. Dang Anh Tuan, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Airlines shared: “The image of the Lac bird is the embodiment of the pioneering spirit, the desire to conquer and the will to constantly strive. The reproduction of that symbol on the Boeing 787 is the pride of the world's aviation technology, expressing the aspiration of Vietnam Airlines, as the National Airline, to connect tradition and the future, bringing Vietnamese identity to the forefront of the times.”

The aircraft bearing the image of the Lac bird will be put into operation on key domestic and international routes, becoming a special "cultural ambassador", contributing to spreading the image of a modern Vietnam with a strong identity closer to friends around the world.

2025 is a special milestone for Vietnam Airlines, marking 30 years of establishment and development of the Corporation with the core being Vietnam Airlines and an ecosystem of more than 20 member units.

Over three decades of “Flying with the Country”, Vietnam Airlines has transported hundreds of millions of passengers, traveled more than 3 billion kilometers, and connected Vietnam with more than 30 international destinations. Each flight is not only a journey, but also a bridge connecting the Vietnamese soul, culture, and aspirations with the world.

In the new era, where traditional values, technology and emotions intersect to create a difference, Vietnam Airlines continues to affirm its mission as the National Airline as a source of national pride, a symbol of Vietnamese identity in the world sky, and a trustworthy companion on the journey of “taking off with the nation” towards a prosperous future./.
