According to the announcement of aviation data analytics company Cirium - a strategic partner of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), Vietnam Airlines ranked 6th in the top 10 airlines with the highest on-time performance rate in Asia - Pacific in 2024 with an on-time flight rate of 76.7%, 3 places higher than in 2023.

With the above ranking results, Vietnam Airlines continues to affirm that its products and services are among the world's leading airlines such as Japan Airlines, All Nippon Airways, Singapore Airlines... contributing to raising the position of Vietnamese aviation on the world aviation map.
Previously in 2023, Vietnam Airlines also entered the Top 10 most punctual airlines in Asia - Pacific with the 9th position.
According to Cirium representative, 2024 is a difficult year for airlines around the world, facing widespread engine failures, disruptions in the supply chain of aircraft materials and spare parts, shortages of human resources in the aviation industry, and harsh and unseasonal weather.
Despite the challenges, airlines and airports have worked hard to ensure their passengers have a safe and on-time journey.
Domestically, according to a report by the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, Vietnam Airlines is also the airline with the highest on-time performance rate in 2024, with a rate of approximately 82%. This result is significantly higher than the average of 73.7% of the entire Vietnamese aviation industry.

The company's experts have compiled statistics based on data from 600 different sources of real-time flights. This data ensures accuracy and objectivity when updated from civil aviation authorities, airports, air service providers and published flight schedules.
In Vietnam, aviation authorities often use on-time flights for statistics. This is different from Cirium's report.
