Vietnam Airlines is the 5th most on-time airline in the Asia-Pacific region.

This is an impressive result in the context of April having the peak holiday period of April 30 - May 1 with a sudden increase in the number of passengers. Vietnam Airlines also faced difficulties in reducing the number of operating aircraft and lacking spare aircraft due to the impact of manufacturers recalling aircraft engines globally. Mr. Dang Anh Tuan, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Airlines said: "To achieve a high on-time index, we focus on operational solutions such as building a reasonable flight schedule, proactively working with authorities to be granted early and reasonable slots, optimizing resources of pilots, flight attendants, aircraft, aircraft maintenance, and flexibly operating in the face of bad weather fluctuations, air traffic congestion, etc. " Recently, Vietnam Airlines officially put the wide-body Airbus A350 - a fuel-efficient, environmentally friendly aircraft - into operation on the route between Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Delhi (India) to replace the narrow-body Airbus A321. India is a strategic partner and one of the most potential markets in the South Asian region in Vietnam. The capacity of the Vietnam - India air transport market reached 900,000 passengers in 2023, nearly 3 times higher than the same period in 2019. To date, Vietnam Airlines operates 4 flights/week between Hanoi and Delhi; 3 flights/week between Ho Chi Minh City and Delhi using Airbus A350 wide-body aircraft. Airbus A350 is a luxurious wide-body aircraft with the most advanced technology today with flat reclining business seats, spacious space, large entertainment screens, providing passengers with a comfortable and convenient flight experience. Since opening direct flights between Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Delhi in June 2022, Vietnam Airlines has operated more than 1,600 flights to and from India. In particular, the seat utilization rate will reach nearly 80% in 2024, 1.5 times higher than in 2022.
