On June 26, Vietnam Airlines officially launched the direct flight Hanoi-Chengdu, connecting the thousand-year-old capital of Vietnam with the fertile land of Sichuan province (China). The inaugural flight from Hanoi to Chengdu, flight number VN 552, departed from Noi Bai airport at 11:00 p.m. on June 25 and landed at Tianfu airport (Chengdu) at 2:05 a.m. on June 26 (local time). In the opposite direction, flight number VN 553 from Chengdu to Hanoi departed at 3:05 a.m. and landed at 4:20 a.m. on June 26. Passengers on the inaugural flights were given flowers, souvenirs and a special welcome at the airport. Vietnam Airlines operates the route between Hanoi and Chengdu with a frequency of 4 flights per week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Flights to Chengdu land at Tianfu Airport - one of the largest airports in China with modern design, advanced infrastructure and high-quality services, ensuring the best experience for passengers. The new route creates favorable conditions for tourists from both countries to visit famous tourist destinations in Vietnam and China. Chengdu is famous for its historical relics, giant panda reserves and many beautiful natural landscapes. Chengdu is also known as the "culinary city" of China with attractive dishes.
