On the evening of November 4, 2024 in Hanoi, the Ceremony to Announce Products that Achieved the Vietnam National Brand in 2024 was held with the theme "Strengthening the Green Era". At the event, Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade (VietinBank) was honored as the Vietnam National Brand for the 8th consecutive time.
The Vietnam National Brand Program is the only long-term trade promotion program conducted by the Vietnamese Government with the goal of promoting the national image and national brand through product brands; contributing to improving the competitiveness of Vietnamese product brands in domestic and international markets. Photo: VietinBank The 2024 National Brand Program has attracted the participation of over 1,000 enterprises in different industries and fields across the country. After more than 9 months of launching and selecting, on October 21, the Minister of Industry and Trade - Chairman of the Vietnam National Brand Council issued a decision to recognize 190 enterprises with a total of 359 products achieving the Vietnam National Brand in 2024. VietinBank is honored to be recognized by the Program as an enterprise achieving the Vietnam National Brand in 2024. After more than 36 years of development, VietinBank has always promoted its role as a leading commercial bank in providing capital for the economy, in accordance with the orientation and direction of the Government and the State Bank, contributing to stabilizing the macro economy, accompanying customers. By the end of the third quarter of 2024, VietinBank's business indicators continued to grow positively with total assets increasing by 9.7% compared to the beginning of the year. Customer loans at the end of Q3/2024 reached VND 1.6 million billion, up 9.0% compared to the beginning of the year. VietinBank's outstanding credit grew positively in line with the orientation and credit room of the State Bank. Customer deposits at the end of Q3/2024 reached VND 1.5 million billion, up 7.5% compared to the beginning of the year, in line with the orientation of capital balance, liquidity and compliance with the Bank's operational safety ratios. VietinBank's net interest income in the first 9 months of 2024 reached VND 46.1 trillion, up 19.7% over the same period in 2023. The positive growth results come from efforts to increase scale, continue to implement credit packages, preferential interest rate programs to support people and businesses; at the same time, efforts to effectively balance capital, promote CASA growth and short-term capital sources to optimize the bank's capital mobilization costs.
