From Ha Giang at the northernmost point of the country to Soc Trang with the fragrant smell of ripe rice….

The first day of going to the fields of Ly Seo Loi, a resident of Quan Then village, Then Phang commune, Xin Man district, is very special. The road, considered the “lifeline” that he and the residents of Quan Then village use, has been seriously degraded, but now has a “new coat”. The road, now covered with solid concrete, runs around the village.

In Mr. Loi's eyes, the road is like a bright journey with lots of motivation and hope. Witnessing this dramatic change, Mr. Loi emotionally shared: “ Before, the road was very difficult to travel, it was slippery when it rained, people had a hard time doing anything. Now that there is a new road, it is easier for people to go to work and children to go to school. In particular, the school has been rebuilt, our children no longer have to study in makeshift classrooms. I am truly grateful for the sponsor's kindness, helping our people have a better life .”

The road is one of three social security projects that VietinBank sponsored for Then Phang commune to repair and upgrade, along with other meaningful projects such as the Village Cultural House and Primary School.

Sharing about this meaningful activity, Mr. Hoang Duc Hanh - Chairman of the People's Committee of Then Phang Commune shared: " The three projects that VietinBank sponsored for the locality are extremely meaningful. People in the village have more convenient roads for trading, transporting construction materials to build houses, barns... In particular, people are extremely excited because there is a place to hold meetings, strengthen the propaganda work of the Party and State's policies and regulations of the law to the people ".

Mr. Truong Quy Hao - Acting Director of VietinBank Ha Giang presented social security works to Then Phang commune.

From Ha Giang in the northernmost part of the country, VietinBank's social security journey has come to Soc Trang - a province in the sunny and windy Mekong Delta region. Starting from a poor province with an economy mainly based on agriculture, Soc Trang is a locality with a high rate of poor households. Ms. Tu To Quyen - Vice Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Soc Trang province said: " By the end of 2023, the whole province will have 8,526 poor households, accounting for 2.54% and 21,653 near-poor households, accounting for 6.46% of the total number of households. In particular, Soc Trang has 8,466 households still facing housing difficulties. This is a very urgent issue for the locality at present ."

Responding to the emulation movement "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide in 2025" launched by the Prime Minister, VietinBank has supported Soc Trang province with 100 billion VND to implement this program. Highly appreciating VietinBank's support program, a representative of the Fatherland Front Committee of Soc Trang province said: " Thanks to VietinBank's temporary house elimination program, people in the province will have solid and spacious houses to live in, thereby feeling secure in economic development, contributing to promoting the progress of the province. In the coming time, the province will continue to promote social security activities such as: supporting trees and seedlings, converting occupations, supporting medical examination and treatment, giving scholarships, giving gifts on holidays, Tet, ... contributing to helping poor and near-poor households improve their lives and escape poverty ".

Mr. Tran Van Tan (4th from right) - Member of the Board of Directors of VietinBank attended the groundbreaking ceremony to remove temporary and dilapidated houses in Soc Trang province in 2025.
