The streets and alleys of Macau turned into stages, as 98 art groups from 15 countries and regions including China, Portugal, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, India and Vietnam… brought a wonderful cultural exchange feast to locals and visitors.
According to a VNA reporter reporting from Macau, about 1,800 professional and amateur artists departed from St. Paul's Cathedral, passed through Senado Square, and walked through the bustling streets of Macau, singing and dancing along the way, demonstrating the colorful cultures of countries and ethnicities.
The Association of Overseas Vietnamese in Macau performed special performances for tourists and received enthusiastic cheers from tourists along the route the group passed.
Sharing with VNA reporters, Mr. Duong Trung Duc - Chairman of the Association of Overseas Vietnamese in Macau, said this is the second consecutive year the Association has been honored to be invited by the Department of Culture to participate in the event and this is also one of the major events in Macau.
Through the Macau International Parade, the Association hopes to further promote Vietnamese culture and costumes to local people and international tourists. In the following year, the Association will continue to participate, standardize and become more professional so that Macau society can better understand Vietnamese culture.

Ms. Do Thi Hieu - member of the Executive Committee of the Association of Overseas Vietnamese in Macau said that despite their busy work, the sisters took the time to practice their dances to perform at the festival, so that more Macau people could understand more about the beauty of Vietnamese culture.
The Macau government hopes to build a platform for international exchanges through the festival, showcase the charm of Macau's multicultural coexistence, and create an important opportunity for cross-cultural exchanges and mutual learning. The parade also serves as the opening ceremony of the "East Asia Cultural Capital - Macau, China" year.
The 15th China-Japan-ROK Culture Ministers' Meeting held in September 2024 awarded the commemorative plaque of "East Asian Cultural Capital" in 2025 to Macau and Huzhou of China, Kamakura of Japan, and Anseong of Korea. This year's parade invited art groups from Huzhou, Kamakura and Anseong to participate, fully displaying the charm of East Asian culture.
The sound of drums, cheers, and dances blend together to create an extremely impressive scene. This is an extremely attractive experience for visitors when attending the festival in Macau. Not only can they admire the unique artistic performances, visitors also have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the vibrant and bustling atmosphere of the festival, with the performing groups expressing the spirit of solidarity, friendliness and friendship.

Since its first launch in 2011, the International Parade has become one of Macau's annual festive events. It is also an important cultural event that attracts many locals and tourists from all over the world.
