Vietnam SuperPort™ and the University of Transport Technology collaborate to establish a Logistics Laboratory.

On December 17th, Vietnam SuperPort™, the University of Transport Technology (UTT), and the Singapore Supply Chain and Logistics Academy (SCALA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to establish an Advanced Logistics Laboratory and implement initiatives to enhance human resources for Vietnam's logistics industry.


About SuperPort Vietnam

Vietnam SuperPort is a multimodal logistics port covering an area of ​​83 hectares, located in Vinh Phuc province. It is a strategic joint venture between T&T Group and YCH Group, a leading supply chain solutions provider from Singapore with nearly 70 years of industry leadership experience.

Vietnam SuperPort aims to enhance Vietnam's integration into global supply chains, reduce logistics costs, and strengthen the country's competitiveness in international trade. With the goal of becoming the first multimodal logistics port in Southeast Asia to achieve net-zero emissions, Vietnam SuperPort is committed to sustainable development with a plan to integrate clean energy use and apply advanced technologies.

About the University of Transport Technology

The University of Transport Technology (UTT) is a public university under the Ministry of Transport , established on November 15, 1945. Its mission is to train high-quality human resources in an applied, multidisciplinary, and multi-field approach, conducting scientific research and technology transfer to serve the development of the transport sector and the country, in line with international development trends and integrating with advanced higher education systems in the region and around the world.

With its achievements, the University has been awarded the title of Hero of Labor, the First-Class Independence Order, and the First-Class Labor Order by the State. In 2024, UTT was ranked 26th among the best universities in Vietnam by the SCImago ranking organization for scientific research institutions.

The university has over 704 faculty members, of which over 35% hold professorships, associate professorships, or doctorates. It trains nearly 20,000 students across 5 doctoral programs, 12 master's programs, and 38 undergraduate programs focusing on fields such as construction technology, information technology, e-commerce, electronics and telecommunications, mechatronics, mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, economics, business administration, transportation management, logistics, law, and English language... at its three campuses in Hanoi, Vinh Phuc, and Thai Nguyen provinces. By 2045, marking the 100th anniversary of the university's founding, the vision is to become a smart university, a center for scientific research, technology transfer, and international cooperation in the field of transportation.

About SCALA

The Singapore Supply Chain and Logistics Academy (SCALA) is a specialized academy with a strong emphasis on experiential learning methods, equipping students with the practical knowledge to become key personnel in the supply chain and logistics industry.

By collaborating closely with government agencies, business leaders, organizations, and industry experts, SCALA continuously improves the quality of its services and adds new programs to help companies and individuals expand their knowledge and experience in the supply chain field.
