National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue congratulated Laos on successfully organizing the first Cambodia-Laos-Vietnam (CLV) Summit in December 2023, thereby helping to further strengthen the relationship between the three National Assemblies in particular and the three countries in general; affirming that consistently, Vietnam always gives the highest priority to the special traditional relationship between Vietnam and Laos.

Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone highly appreciated the results of the official visit to Laos by National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue in May 2022 and thanked Vietnam for its support in helping Laos successfully organize the first Cambodia - Laos - Vietnam National Assembly Summit; emphasizing that he always pays close attention to and considers Vietnam's socio-economic development achievements as a great source of encouragement and motivation for the Lao revolutionary cause.
The two leaders highly appreciated the important achievements in the Vietnam-Laos cooperation in general and cooperation between the two countries' National Assemblies in particular. At the same time, the two sides agreed to closely coordinate and seriously implement high-level agreements.
Emphasizing the importance of promoting trade and investment cooperation, enhancing economic connectivity, transport connectivity, promoting education, training, culture and people-to-people exchange; at the same time, agreeing on the need to continue to pay attention to and resolve difficulties and obstacles for businesses and important cooperation projects between the two countries.
Regarding cooperation between the two National Assemblies, the two sides agreed to support promoting the exchange of visits and contacts between leaders of the National Assemblies and between committees of the two National Assemblies; continue to strengthen cooperation and share experiences between the two legislative bodies, especially in building institutions, legal systems and supervising the implementation of cooperation agreements and treaties between the two governments.
In addition, the two sides will further strengthen coordination between the committees of the two National Assemblies in supervising the implementation of agreements and cooperation projects between the two countries; continue to coordinate in organizing conferences and seminars on professional work between relevant agencies of the two National Assemblies.
The two sides agreed to support the two countries' National Assemblies to continue to cooperate and coordinate closely at international and regional forums, especially at the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA).
National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue congratulated Laos on assuming the role of ASEAN and AIPA Chair 2024; affirmed that Vietnam is ready to provide maximum support for Laos to successfully undertake these important international responsibilities; and at the same time suggested that the National Assemblies of the two countries actively coordinate with the Cambodian National Assembly to effectively implement the results achieved at the first Summit between the Chairmen of the National Assemblies of the three countries recently.
