Vietnam is among the 20 most favorite countries by global tourists.

The famous American travel magazine Condé Nast Traveler has announced the Readers' Choice Awards 2024. Vietnam is ranked in the list of 20 most favorite countries by global travelers.

Ranked 15th in the list of 20 most favorite countries with a score of 89.11/100, Vietnam is considered a culturally diverse and attractive destination for tourists.

Condé Nast Traveler praised Vietnam's rustic charm, contributing to making the country one of the top favorite destinations.

In 2023, Vietnam welcomed 12.6 million international tourists and the number is constantly increasing as tourists are increasingly interested in choosing to explore the "hidden gems" of this country, visiting towns and villages to experience the traditional cultural identity of each locality.

In the first 9 months of 2024, the number of international tourists to Vietnam reached 12.7 million, an increase of 43% over the same period last year and higher than the figure of 12.6 million for the whole year of 2023.

Condé Nast Traveler also mentioned the prestigious awards that Vietnamese tourism won at the recent World Travel Awards.

Vietnam was voted “Asia’s Leading Destination” for the 6th time, along with titles such as “Asia’s Leading Heritage Destination” and “Asia’s Leading Natural Destination”. These titles once again affirm the position, brand, and image of Vietnam tourism as a colorful, multi-experience destination, attracting domestic and foreign tourists.

This magazine affirmed: “Vietnam is no longer a remarkable destination, but a must-visit destination.”

Besides Vietnam, other countries on the list of Readers' Choice Awards 2024 include: Japan, Switzerland, Thailand, France, New Zealand, Maldives, Italy, Portugal, Canada, Sri Lanka, Greece, Croatia, Spain, Costa Rica, Australia, Malta, Ireland, Mexico, Seychelles.
