Vietnam - Laos - Cambodia successfully organized a rescue exercise

The armies of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia have coordinated to organize a joint search and rescue exercise witnessed by high-ranking leaders.

On November 25, at the Royal Gendarmerie Training Center of Cambodia, Kampong Chhnang province, the armies of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia jointly organized a joint search and rescue exercise witnessed by high-ranking leaders. General Phan Van Giang, Politburo member and Minister of National Defense of Vietnam; General Chansamone Chanyalath, Minister of National Defense of Laos and General Tea Seiha, Minister of National Defense of Cambodia were all present at the event.

With the theme “Rescue and relief in case of building collapse”, the exercise focused on two main contents. The first part was handling the situation of building collapse, in which rescue forces searched for victims in the rubble, provided first aid on the spot and transported them to the Level 1 Field Hospital. The second part was a military medical exercise, with the process of classifying and treating victims based on the level of injury. Those with minor injuries were treated on the spot, while those with serious injuries were transported by helicopter to higher emergency facilities, including Level 2 and Level 3 Field Hospitals.

The exercise ended successfully, marking a step forward in trilateral defense cooperation. Through this activity, the rescue forces of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia improved their coordination and preparedness to respond to natural disasters. This not only helped minimize human and property damage but also contributed to ensuring a peaceful life for the people.

On the same day, General Phan Van Giang and a high-ranking delegation from the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense visited Tep Pronom High School in Cambodia. On this occasion, on behalf of the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense, he presented the school with 30 sets of computers to support teaching and learning, demonstrating the close friendship between the two countries.
