Hosting multiple regional and continental tournaments simultaneously not only demonstrates the prestige and organizational capacity of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), but is also an important opportunity for women's football teams to affirm their strength and accumulate international competition experience.
The 2026 Asian Women's Championship Qualifiers (Group E) will take place from June 29 to July 5 at Viet Tri Stadium ( Phu Tho ), with the participation of the Vietnam Women's Team and opponents from the UAE, Guam and Maldives. The home field advantage will be the motivation for coach Mai Duc Chung and his team to be determined to win a ticket to the next round.

The Vietnam women's team will gather from May 6 at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center and train abroad in June to improve their skills. At the 2022 Asian Women's Championship in India, the Vietnam women's team for the first time in history passed the group stage and won the right to enter the quarterfinals. This tournament is also an important stepping stone for the Vietnam women's team to win a ticket to the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup.
The 2025 Southeast Asian Women's U19 Championship will be organized by the VFF in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh City Football Federation. Preparations are being urgently implemented, with upgrading facilities and stadiums to the standards of the AFF and international tournaments.
The tournament was held on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), as a historical sporting event, contributing to spreading the spirit of solidarity in the region.
At this arena, the Vietnam U19 women's team won the runner-up position at the 2023 Southeast Asian U19 Women's Championship. With a talented young player force and investment in recent years, the Vietnam U19 women's team is expected to maintain and promote good results in the tournament.
Along with that, the qualifying round of the 2025 AFC U20 Women's Championship will take place from August 2 to August 10, with the draw results announced on April 28. After the feat of qualifying for the 2024 AFC U20 Women's Championship Finals in Uzbekistan for the first time, the Vietnamese U20 Women's Team is receiving high expectations to continue to repeat this achievement.
Hosting three major tournaments in a row in 2025 is an important step forward not only in terms of expertise but also in the organization and comprehensive development of women's football.
