Continuing his official visit to Iran, on the afternoon of August 8, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue received Chairman of the Iran-Vietnam Friendship Association Seyed Kamal Sajjadi.
The National Assembly Chairman expressed his pleasure at meeting the leadership of the Iran-Vietnam Friendship Association and its Chairman Seyed Kamal Sajjadi, who was the former Iranian Ambassador to Vietnam, is very close to Vietnam and is also the founding Chairman of the Iran-Vietnam Friendship Association.
The National Assembly Chairman highly appreciated Mr. Seyed Kamal Sajjadi's contributions to preserving, consolidating and enhancing the friendly relations between the people of the two countries.
Sharing that Vietnam and Iran have a 50-year history of friendship and multifaceted cooperation, the National Assembly Chairman affirmed that Vietnam always attaches importance to and wishes to promote friendship and multifaceted cooperation with Iran. The delegation's visit this time contributes to strengthening cooperation between the two countries through the Party, National Assembly, Government and local channels, especially enhancing people-to-people exchanges.
Chairman of the Association Seyed Kamal Sajjadi expressed his honor to meet with National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue, sharing the results of the Association's activities, including writing, printing and publishing books about the country and people of Vietnam in Tehran, making films about the country and people of Vietnam with the hope that more Iranians will travel to Vietnam; and coordinating with the Vietnam-Iran Friendship Association in sharing operational experiences.
Mr. Seyed Kamal Sajjadi hopes that the two countries will continue to strengthen economic, trade and cultural cooperation.
National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue highly appreciated the leadership of the Iran-Vietnam Friendship Association for its efforts, endeavors and comprehensive results in recent times. In addition to organizing people-to-people exchanges, the Association is also an investment consulting organization for businesses of both sides, together with the Iranian Government, promoting and granting scholarships for Vietnamese students to study in Iran and sending Iranian students to Hanoi.
According to the National Assembly Chairman, people-to-people exchange is the most solid foundation in promoting multifaceted relations between countries. The Vietnamese and Iranian people share historical values and have the will to be self-reliant in building and developing the country.
The National Assembly Chairman hopes that the Iran-Vietnam Friendship Association will continue to diversify people-to-people exchange activities, contributing more positively to the bilateral relationship in general.
Appreciating and welcoming the initiative to produce a film about the country and people of Vietnam, the National Assembly Chairman emphasized that the Vietnamese Ambassador to Iran will be a bridge with relevant Vietnamese agencies to support the director in producing the film.
