Vietnam continues to be an effective investment destination for FDI enterprises.

According to the General Statistics Office, from the beginning of this year to the end of October, the total registered foreign investment capital in Vietnam reached 27.26 billion USD, up 1.9% over the same period last year. Vietnam continues to be an effective investment destination for FDI enterprises. Many international organizations also highly appreciated Vietnam's economic development results in the third quarter, while raising their forecast for Vietnam's growth in 2024.

With 2,450 projects and a total investment capital of more than 28 billion Euros by mid-2024, Europe ranks 6th among the regions with the most direct FDI investors in Vietnam. This figure is expected to improve significantly when in the recent BCI report published by EuroCham, 69.3% of European enterprises predict that Vietnam's business environment will be favorable in the next 5 years.

Mr. Nguyen Hai Minh - Vice Chairman of the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (EuroCham) said: "70% of businesses participating in the survey believe that Vietnam is an attractive investment destination and are ready to introduce Vietnam as an investment destination in the near future. The majority of 55% of businesses have been expanding and have plans to expand in the near future. We believe that this is a very positive reflection and survey result for Vietnam".

As for US investors, energy and semiconductors are potential lands for them to open factories in Vietnam. Therefore, improving the quality of human resources in high-tech manufacturing sectors is a way for Vietnam to attract more investment flows. FDI capital sustainable

Prof. Andreas Hauskrecht - Kelley School of Business, Indiana University commented: "It is necessary to improve the quality of labor, including productivity and qualifications of human resources in Vietnam to welcome the investment wave of large investors. In addition, the investment environment towards sustainable development is also an attractive factor for foreign investors".

Mr. To Quoc Hung - Country Director of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Vietnam commented: "Building a set of human resource quality standards is very important because it will show how domestic human resources can meet international standards. That set of standards will have to reflect practical capabilities, knowledge and standards in the world."

According to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Vietnam will continue to record high growth in the world in 2024, due to a favorable investment environment. These factors make Vietnam expected to continue to be a bright spot in attracting FDI in the coming time.

Mr. Paulo Medas - Head of the Article IV Consultation Delegation, International Monetary Fund (IMF) commented: "Vietnam is one of the countries with the highest growth in the world, strong exports, and good foreign investment attraction. Vietnamese enterprises need to continue to proactively respond to external risks; banks need to strengthen their capacity, stabilize and make the capital market healthy to support businesses in sustainable investment".

Despite being affected by storm No. 3, Vietnam's GDP in the third quarter still reached 7.4% compared to the same period last year. Thanks to effective investment attraction policies and strong recovery of export industries, Vietnam's economy is forecast by international organizations to continue to grow steadily and firmly, affirming its position as one of the fastest growing economies in Southeast Asia.
