At the end of March 2024, the F1H20 Formula 1 Powerboat Race and the Binh Dinh International Professional Aquabike Race - 2024 (Binh Dinh Grand Prix - 2024) will be held in Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh Province. Not only is it the host of the race, but for the first time, Binh Dinh in particular and Vietnam in general have a racing team participating in this prestigious race. In recent days, the Binh Dinh - Vietnam F1H20 Powerboat Racing Team has also been actively practicing and competing to achieve the highest results in this year's race.
After negotiations, the Swedish sailing team signed an agreement with Fleur de Lys Hospitality Company (Vietnam) to change its name to the BINH DINH - VIETNAM Formula 1 Powerboat Racing Team to participate in international competitions and world championships organized by the International Powerboat Federation UIM. The BINH DINH - VIETNAM team consists of 2 members: the reigning world champion Jonas Andersson, who leads the team, and Stefan Arand, a rookie from Estonia. The 2024 Binh Dinh International Professional Powerboat Grand Prix, including the ABP Aquabike Watercraft Championship and the F1H2O Formula 1 Powerboat World Championship, will bring together more than 70 athletes, who are the world's top racers. Recently, the Binh Dinh - Vietnam F1H2O Powerboat Racing Team achieved impressive results in the qualifying race day held on Lake Toba, Indonesia. It is expected that after this race, the entire team will be present in Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh Province to prepare to conquer the second race. Having a racing team participating in this tournament, along with Binh Dinh being the chosen location to host the tournament, will be an opportunity to promote the image of Binh Dinh in particular and Vietnam in general to the world.
