From August 23 to 27, the Asia- Pacific Robocon (ABU Robocon) 2024 will be held at the Quang Ninh Sports Complex, Dai Yen Ward, Ha Long City. ABU Robocon, organized annually by the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union, is a playground for students with a passion for robots from countries and territories in the Asia-Pacific region. This year's competition, with the theme "Harvest Day", aims to honor the value of agriculture, especially rice cultivation on terraced fields - a characteristic of Vietnamese culture. Participating robots will perform tasks simulating the rice growing process, from sowing to harvesting. ABU Robocon 2024 has the participation of 13 teams from 12 countries and territories. Vietnam has two representative teams, SKH AUTOMATION and SKH - CK1 from Hung Yen University of Technical Education. In addition to the official matches, the organizing committee will organize many attractive sideline activities, such as exchanging and sharing knowledge of programming control, robot construction and tours of Ha Long Bay heritage... The entire ABU Robocon 2024 competition at Quang Ninh Sports Complex on August 25 will be broadcast live on VTV2 channel of Vietnam Television. Previously, the ABU Robocon 2023 competition was held in the capital Phnom Penh, with 14 teams representing 13 countries and territories in the region participating. The Vietnamese team won third prize and the excellent technical award at ABU Robocon 2023. The team from Japan won the Robocon 2023 championship.
