From August 23 to 27, the Asia-Pacific Robocon Competition (ABU Robocon) 2024 will be held at Quang Ninh Sports Complex, Dai Yen Ward, Ha Long City.
ABU Robocon is organized annually by the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union, a playground for students with a passion for robots from countries and territories in the Asia-Pacific region.
This year’s competition, themed “Harvest Days,” aims to honor the value of agriculture, especially rice cultivation on terraced fields – a distinctive feature of Vietnamese culture. Participating robots will perform tasks simulating the rice growing process, from sowing to harvesting.
ABU Robocon 2024 has the participation of 13 teams from 12 countries and territories. Of which, Vietnam has 2 representative teams: SKH AUTOMATION and SKH – CK1 from Hung Yen University of Technical Education.
In addition to the official matches, the organizers will organize many attractive sideline activities, such as exchanging and sharing knowledge about programming, robot construction and tours to Ha Long Bay heritage...
The entire ABU Robocon 2024 competition at Quang Ninh Sports Complex on August 25 will be broadcast live on VTV2 channel of Vietnam Television.
Previously, the 2023 ABU Robocon competition was held in the capital Phnom Penh, with 14 teams representing 13 countries and territories in the region. The Vietnamese team won third prize and the excellent technical award at the 2023 ABU Robocon. The team from Japan won the 2023 Robocon championship.
