Accordingly, Vietnam will host the Group E qualifying round of the 2026 Asian Women's Championship, the 2026 Asian U20 Women's Championship and the 2025 Southeast Asian U19 Women's Championship.
Hosting both regional and continental tournaments not only demonstrates the prestige and organizational capacity of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), but is also an important opportunity for the Vietnamese women's football teams to gain experience in international competition.
The Group E qualifying round of the 2026 Asian Women's Championship will take place from June 29 to July 5 at Viet Tri Stadium (Phu Tho). The Vietnamese women's team (ranked 37th in the world ) is in the same group with the UAE (ranked 112th), Guam (ranked 96th) and Maldives (ranked 163rd), so it will not be difficult to win a ticket to the next round.
The Vietnamese women's team will gather from May 6 at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center and train abroad in June to improve their skills. In this training session, coach Mai Duc Chung will call a Vietnamese-Canadian player to the Vietnamese team for the first time to test his ability.

The 2025 AFC U20 Women's Championship qualifiers will take place from August 2 to 10 in Hanoi . The draw results will be announced by AFC on April 28.
After the feat of qualifying for the 2024 AFC U20 Women's Championship finals in Uzbekistan for the first time, the Vietnamese U20 women's team is receiving high expectations to continue to repeat this achievement.
The 2025 Southeast Asian U19 Women's Championship is organized by the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City Football Federation (HFF). The tournament takes place from June 9 to 18 at Thong Nhat Stadium, District 8 Stadium and Phu Tho Stadium.
Preparations are being urgently implemented, with upgrading facilities and stadiums to AFF standards and international tournaments.
This tournament is held on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), as a historical sporting event, contributing to spreading the spirit of solidarity in the region.
At this arena, the Vietnam U19 women's team won the runner-up position at the 2023 Southeast Asian U19 Women's Championship. With a talented young player force and investment in recent years, the Vietnam U19 women's team is expected to maintain and promote good results in the tournament.
