Vietnam hosts 3 women's tournaments of AFC, AFF

In 2025, Vietnam will be the meeting point for many continental women's football tournaments after being confirmed by AFC and AFF to host three important international tournaments. The three tournaments include: 2026 Asian Women's Championship Qualifiers (Group E), Southeast Asian Women's U19 Championship and 2026 Asian Women's U20 Championship Qualifiers.

The continuous organization of regional and continental tournaments not only affirms the prestige of the Vietnam Football Federation but also opens up golden opportunities for teams to accumulate experience and improve their level.

In the Asian qualifiers, which will take place from June 29 to July 5, the Vietnamese women's team will host Group E at Viet Tri Stadium (Phu Tho), with the participation of UAE, Guam and Maldives.

Home field advantage and careful preparation with the international training session in June will be the springboard for coach Mai Duc Chung and his team to aim for a ticket to the next round.

Vietnamese women's football will have 3 continental and regional tournaments in 2025 played at home

The 2025 Southeast Asian Women's U19 Championship, co-organized by VFF and Ho Chi Minh City Football Federation (HFF), will take place on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Southern Liberation Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

This is not only a sporting event but also a historical event, contributing to promoting the spirit of regional solidarity. Preparations are being urgently implemented, with upgrading facilities and stadiums to the standards of the Southeast Asian Football Federation (AFF) and international tournaments.

The Vietnam U19 women's team with its talented young force is expected to shine on home ground.

The 2026 AFC U20 Women's Championship qualifiers will take place from August 2 to 10 in Hanoi, following the historic achievement of reaching the 2024 AFC U20 Championship finals in Uzbekistan.

The results of the qualifying draw will be announced on April 28. With strong momentum, the Vietnam U20 women's team is aiming to continue to make their name in the bigger playground.

Hosting three tournaments in 2025 not only demonstrates the organizational capacity of Vietnamese football but also creates a solid foundation for the comprehensive development of women's football in the country.
