In addition, familiar details in classic fairy tales are still retained, but presented through a new and more horrifying perspective. The film is directed by the duo Tran Huu Tan and producer Hoang Quan, and is expected to be released in Vietnamese theaters in 2024.
The third new project introduced at the film market is the short film Ga Ac by director Tung Leo.
The work focuses on exploiting the fate of women in the face of the harshness of male chauvinism and bad customs in ancient Vietnamese society.
Previously, Ga Ak was one of only two representatives of Vietnam attending the Kaohsiung Film Festival - one of the leading film festivals in Taiwan.
Mini-series Fog Slope, also directed by Tung Leo , revolves around a star chef who runs a restaurant that only serves customers after midnight. The film tells a unique, authentic story about the lives of Saigon people.
There is also Keo Tren - an LGBTQ+ romantic comedy about two people who were once partners in the past and reconnect by chance. The project features a cast of actors well-known on social media such as comedy group BB&BG, BB Tran, Hai Trieu, and TikToker Hoang Anh Panda.
