On December 1, the Association of Diplomatic Spouses and Consorts in the Czech Republic organized the 2024 annual international charity fair to raise funds for charitable funds.

The Vietnamese Embassy has actively responded and participated, demonstrating its willingness to join hands to share and help those in difficult circumstances, while promoting the beautiful image of the country and people of Vietnam to international friends.

This year's fair was attended by more than 40 embassies of countries in the Czech Republic. Local media assessed this as one of the most important events of the Christmas season in the capital city of Prague.

The embassy booths offer a diverse mix of cultures and traditions with a wide range of products, from sweets and spices to handicrafts, books, glassware, porcelain, cosmetics and fashion accessories.

Along with the booths, the fair also features performances of traditional costumes, music and art.

Speaking at this year's fair, Speaker of the Czech House of Representatives Markéta Pekarová Adamová expressed her gratitude to the embassies for bringing to Prague a festive atmosphere and a meaningful activity, creating inspiration and stirring up hearts for Czech charitable funds.

Prague Mayor Bohuslav Svoboda described the event as a fire that ignited love, especially for children in difficult circumstances. He hopes this spirit will be spread through similar activities.

The Embassy of Vietnam in the Czech Republic participated in the event with food and handicraft booths.

Traditional and typical Vietnamese foods and drinks such as spring rolls and coffee attract many visitors to enjoy.

The image of the Ao Dai of the Vietnamese Embassy's staff was also one of the highlights at the fair.

The President of the Association of Diplomatic Spouses in the Czech Republic, Ms. Anne Huisinga-Paret, emphasized that this event was organized to honor diversity and solidarity.

Fair attendees not only experienced the colorful festival atmosphere but also supported a worthy cause of helping those in difficult circumstances.

Ms. Anne Huisinga-Paret said that all proceeds from the fair, together with donations from sponsors, will be donated to Czech charities.

At the 2023 event, the fair raised more than CZK 1 million (USD 41,725) and supported 14 charity projects for children in the Czech Republic./.
