Vietnam takes two spots in the top 15 most popular cities in Asia in 2023

The World's Best Awards of the famous international travel magazine Travel + Leisure honored Hoi An and Ho Chi Minh City in the 15 most favorite cities in Asia in 2023 according to readers' votes.

The World's Best Awards are held annually for readers to share their opinions and travel experiences about the top hotels, resorts, cities, islands, cruise ships, health spa services, airlines, etc.

This year, nearly 165,000 Travel+Leisure readers completed the 2023 survey, up nearly 25% from pre-pandemic levels. In total, more than 685,000 votes were cast across 8,500 nominations.

Regarding the list of 15 most favorite cities in Asia, the cities are evaluated according to criteria of attractions/landscapes, culture, cuisine , friendliness, shopping services, and destination value.

This year, Hoi An ranked 13th and Ho Chi Minh City ranked 14th on the list.

Along with that, three Vietnamese hotels were also honored to be included in the list of 100 most favorite hotels in the world this year: Capella Hanoi at 18th place, Regent Phu Quoc at 19th place and The Reverie Saigon at 35th place.

The remaining 13 most popular cities in Asia in 2023 include: Udaipur, Mumbai and Jaipur (India); Kyoto, Tokyo and Osaka (Japan); Ubud (Indonesia); Bangkok and Chiang Mai (Thailand); Luang Prabang (Laos); Siem Reap (Cambodia); Seoul (South Korea) and Singapore.
