According to information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in recent days, upon the passing of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, senior leaders of countries, political parties and international friends from 103 countries, territories and 32 international organizations have sent nearly 500 letters, telegrams and messages of condolences.
Letters and telegrams of condolences were sent to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, President To Lam, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, Standing member of the Secretariat Luong Cuong, other Party and State leaders, the Vietnamese people and the family of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.
100 international delegations visited and sent flowers of condolence in Vietnam, along with more than 3,500 delegations visiting General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong at Vietnamese representative agencies around the world.
The letters, telegrams and messages of condolence expressed deep feelings, infinite sorrow and great respect for General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, honored the General Secretary's contributions to the development of Vietnam and the relationship between Vietnam and its partners, and expressed the desire to continue to further promote cooperation with Vietnam in all fields.

Appreciating the above solidarity and sharing, the Central Executive Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, President To Lam, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, Standing member of the Secretariat Luong Cuong, and other Party and State leaders have sent letters and telegrams to leaders of countries, international organizations, political parties, and international friends.
The content of the letter and telegram expressed special gratitude, condolences and encouragement for the great loss of the Party, State, people of Vietnam and the family of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.
The Party and State leaders hope that together with other countries and partners, they will continue to realize the wishes of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, bringing the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and other countries and partners to increasingly develop and deepen, meeting the interests of the people of each country and contributing to peace, cooperation and prosperity in the region and the world.
Previously, the funeral of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong was held according to the National Funeral protocol, taking place over two days, July 25 and 26.
The memorial service for General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong will be held at 1:00 p.m. on July 26 at the National Funeral Home No. 5 Tran Thanh Tong, Hanoi. The burial ceremony will be held at 3:00 p.m. the same day at Mai Dich Cemetery, Hanoi.
Standing member of the Secretariat Luong Cuong, Head of the Funeral Organizing Committee, said that nearly 6,000 delegations, representatives of central and local agencies, units, people's armed forces, intellectuals, religious dignitaries, domestic organizations and individuals and 100 international delegations, nearly 200,000 compatriots and comrades, came to pay their respects to General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong at Funeral House No. 5 Tran Thanh Tong (Hanoi), Thong Nhat Hall in Ho Chi Minh City and in Dong Hoi commune (Dong Anh district, Hanoi).
In addition, nearly 500,000 people, officers, soldiers, and armed forces visited and sent condolences via the electronic condolence book.
Many leaders of countries and international friends came to pay their respects and sent condolences to the Party, State, people and family of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.
