This afternoon, December 21, Prime Minister and Chairman of the National Committee on Digital Transformation Pham Minh Chinh chaired a national online conference to evaluate 2 years of implementing the Project on developing applications of population data, identification and electronic authentication to serve national digital transformation in the period of 2022 - 2025, with a vision to 2030 (Project 06). Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang; Minister of Public Security, General To Lam attended the conference. Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Hung attended at the Quang Tri bridge.
Over the past 2 years, with determined and drastic direction, creativity and courage in organization and implementation, the basic objectives of Project 06 have been basically achieved. Of which, 38/53 essential public services related to people have been provided on the national public service portal; the national population database with more than 105 million data has been supplemented and updated regularly, ensuring "correct, sufficient, clean, alive"; connected with 15 ministries, branches, state-owned enterprises, telecommunications enterprises and 63 localities.

The implementation of essential public services has saved the State 2,505 billion VND annually. In addition, 37,542 businesses, households and individuals have successfully registered to use electronic invoices with tax authority codes generated from cash registers with 72.8 million invoices; the total tax collected on invoices is over 1,900 billion VND.
Many fields continue to promote non-cash payments such as social security, insurance, healthcare, and finance, in which the rate of state budget collection through non-cash payments reaches 99.84%.
The application of national data on population, citizen identification, identification and electronic authentication has been promoted in areas such as banking, telecommunications, transportation, insurance, especially biometric authentication on citizen identification cards at medical examination and treatment facilities, reducing the 4-step process to 2 steps, the average authentication time is 6 - 13 seconds, helping people save time on procedures; 100% of medical facilities nationwide deploy medical examination and treatment solutions using chip-embedded citizen identification cards integrated with health insurance.
Speaking at the conference, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized: Project 06 is one of the "bright spots" of digital transformation in our country in the past 2 years, receiving the approval, support and high appreciation of people and businesses.
Thereby contributing to changing management methods and improving the quality and efficiency of citizen management; contributing to limiting negativity and "petty corruption"; saving time and effort; creating an important foundation for deploying online public services to serve people and businesses, contributing to promoting the development of digital government, digital economy, and digital society.
The Prime Minister said that 2024 is the year of "Completing technology infrastructure, digitization, connection, and data sharing to serve the construction of digital government, digital economy, digital society, and digital citizens". Therefore, ministries and branches need to focus on implementing solutions such as completing legal documents; removing difficulties and obstacles in funding for implementation; promoting applications to serve socio-economic development; developing utilities on VneID; integrating, connecting, and sharing data.
