The first case was a pregnant woman at 18 weeks and 4 days, carrying monochorionic diamniotic twins, diagnosed with stage II twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome.
The donor fetus had no visible bladder or increased echogenicity in the small intestine, while the recipient fetus had signs of umbilical cord abnormalities.
The second case is a rare one: one fetus has no heartbeat, which seriously threatens the remaining fetus.
Both mothers were treated promptly using modern hysteroscopy techniques.
