When registering for the exam, the Ministry of Education and Training notes that the candidate's photo on the system must have a minimum resolution of 400x600 pixels, be taken in ID-style and no more than 6 months before the application submission date.
During the process of registering for exams, preliminary selection, and university and college admissions, candidates must use a unified type of identification document: ID card/citizen identification card/personal identification/passport number.
During the registration period, candidates wishing to apply for university or college admission must declare on the software complete and correct information with evidence to enjoy priority in admission according to regulations.
According to the plan of the Ministryof Education and Training, candidates will start registering for the 2025 high school graduation exam from April 21 to 5:00 p.m. on April 28.
Registration for the exam is done online. Also during this period, the exam registration units (as prescribed by the Department of Education and Training) will organize for candidates to register for graduation recognition online; enter the exam registration form, register for graduation recognition for candidates who submit their application directly.
The 2025 high school graduation exam will be held on June 25, 26, 27, and 28, 2025. Of which: June 25, 2025 is for exam registration procedures; June 26, 27, 2025 is for exam supervision; June 28, 2025 is reserved.

Some time frames candidates need to note |
Candidates studying the current general education program (2018 program) must take 4 exams, including Math and Literature. In addition, they choose two subjects they have studied at school (Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Geography, History, Economic and Legal Education, Information Technology, Technology and Foreign Language).
The group following the old program (2006) will take the Literature, Math, Foreign Language exams, and one of two Natural Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and Social Sciences (History, Geography, Civic Education).
The 2025 high school graduation exam scores will be announced by the Ministry of Education and Training on July 16.
