The book Dai Viet Su Ky Toan Thu recorded: The miracles at the tomb and temple of Kinh Duong Vuong in A Lu village (Dai Dong Thanh commune, Thuan Thanh district, Bac Ninh province) and many other books said that the first ancestor of our country was Kinh Duong Vuong, whose real name was Loc Tuc, later he was appointed Kinh Duong Vuong, ruled the South, and named the country Xich Quy.

Thus, according to Dai Viet Su Ky Toan Thu, up to now, it is not possible to determine the Hung King's surname. This point of view was also affirmed by Nguyen Dynasty historians in Kham Dinh Viet Su Thong Giam Cuong Muc.
According to many historians today, during the Hung King period, the Vietnamese did not have a family name. Vietnamese family names only appeared during the period of Chinese domination in AD.
