Why do TikTokers like No O No still "live well" on social networks?

Netizens were surprised to learn that No O No still owns a TikTok channel with more than 350 thousand followers.

No O No is a name that caused a lot of controversy in the Vietnamese online community at the end of 2022, when this TikToker's video insulting the poor and the elderly spread quickly on social media platforms. Notably, after being criticized by netizens, No O No also posted a video with challenging words.

Previously, this TikToker also regularly posted videos on his TikTok channel reviewing restaurants in a "unique" style, using vulgar and offensive words, expressions and behaviors.

After the clip insulting the elderly caused outrage by No O No, TikTok permanently locked this young man's account for violating community standards.

"We have permanently locked the account of user @tuanbrice (also known as "Nơ Ô Nô") because the content posted by this user is not in line with community standards," said a representative of TikTok in Vietnam.

Just a few days after his account was locked, No O No opened a new account, but the social network TikTok showed its strong hand by continuing to lock this account.

However, it seems that TikTok's toughness is only temporary. Until public opinion gradually calmed down, No O No returned to TikTok with a new account and continued to post videos in the familiar style. No O No's videos quickly attracted hundreds of thousands to millions of views in a short time.

Just a few months after being banned, No O No's new TikTok channel has more than 351 thousand followers and more than 5.1 million views.

Many netizens expressed their surprise when they learned that Nơ Ô Nô was still "living well" on TikTok and that this social network no longer continued to show a tough attitude like before. This made many netizens wonder whether TikTok really banned Nơ Ô Nô as this social network had announced?

"It was only then that I realized that TikTok did not ban No O No permanently, but only banned this guy's TikTok account. That means he can open another TikTok channel and rebuild from scratch without any problem. So what does TikTok's ban mean?", Facebook account H.Anh commented.

"If TikTokers who violate the policy just need to create a new account and can operate normally, then deleting the previous TikTok account is completely ineffective as a deterrent. In addition, no one can guarantee that this person will not continue to create "dirty" and toxic content on the new account," said Minh Duc, a content creator on TikTok and YouTube.

Why do No O No and many TikTok accounts with "dirty" content still have a huge number of views?

Despite being boycotted by the online community, Nơ Ô Nô’s new TikTok channel (renamed) still attracts a huge number of viewers, with a video making style that is almost unchanged from before. This shows that besides the group of netizens boycotting Nơ Ô Nô, there is still a large number of people who support this TikToker. In addition, it seems that TikTok is also contributing to "pushing views" for this TikToker.

"I use TikTok and often see No O No's videos in the suggested list and trending. It seems that TikTok is contributing to promoting and helping No O No's videos reach more viewers, even though they previously announced a permanent ban on this TikToker," Facebook account V.Vinh commented.

Notably, No O No is not the only TikToker in Vietnam who is still "doing well" and has a large number of viewers on social networks, even though his content is not special and is even somewhat vulgar and offensive.

Currently, many young people in Vietnam are doing everything, using all kinds of tricks to "get likes" and become famous on social networking platforms such as Youtube, Facebook or TikTok... this causes nonsense, vulgar content, offensive nude images... to appear everywhere on the internet.

TikTok is a social networking platform specializing in videos and targeting young users, so many TikTokers are currently looking for ways to attract views and increase interactions by creating offensive content, going against trends, or even attending the funerals of famous people to film videos, livestream... creating extremely ugly images.

Scrolling through content on the TikTok app in Vietnam, it is not difficult to come across videos of young girls performing overly sexy dance videos in "skimpy" outfits or even just wearing underwear. Many Vietnamese rap songs with vulgar language are also used as background music for video clips that quickly spread on TikTok...

In addition, many Vietnamese TikTokers also regularly make videos with extremely offensive, even uncultured, prank content. Although these are just clips staged with pre-existing scripts, unnatural acting, and most of them are "plagiarized" from scripts from China or other countries, it is worth mentioning that these videos have a huge number of viewers, often appearing on TikTok's suggestions, helping the videos reach a large number of viewers, including children.

Is it true that the tastes of many netizens in Vietnam, including many young people, are too easy to accept online content, with poor quality content, vulgar language or offensive actions...?

It seems that the easygoing tastes of a segment of young netizens have created a "living space" for "dirty" content on social networks, even contributing to helping TikTokers continue to create offensive, low-quality content, because they know that the content they create is still tolerated by TikTok itself and supported by many netizens.

Dan Tri reporters contacted TikTok representatives in Vietnam to ask questions about the "revival" of the No O No account and the existence of "dirty" content on this social networking platform, but TikTok Vietnam remained silent and did not provide an answer.
