Many people are excited about the class to become a tea master.

As a tea lover and having spent many years learning about tea, when he learned that tea master Ngo Thi Thanh Tam opened a course to teach tea making, Mr. Pham Duc Huy (42 years old, living in Ho Chi Minh City) decided to arrange his work and register to participate.

During the 8 days, studying 8 hours each day to become a tea master, Mr. Huy said he was extremely impressed with the quality of the instructors. According to him, the masters from the Luc Vu tea school in Taiwan who came to teach were highly qualified and serious about imparting knowledge to students.

"Here, I learned knowledge and skills about tea that I had previously missed while self-studying through books, newspapers, and YouTube. The training course was systematic, making me realize that I had gaps in my knowledge before, such as the steps to make tea," Huy confided, adding that after this course, he had more love for tea and realized that knowledge about tea was vast, and he still had to learn many more things on his own.

Fly from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City to study

Similar to Mr. Huy, Mr. Huy Bao (30 years old) also has a special love for tea. Having admired and followed tea master Ngo Thi Thanh Tam for many years, when he learned that she opened a tea master course, he temporarily put aside his work and flew from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City to learn.

"Before that, I planned to go to Taiwan to study tea systematically. Luckily, in Vietnam, there is the first academy to provide systematic and professional training, so I decided to study. After the course, I felt that this choice was the right one, because I learned a lot of new knowledge that I had missed before," he shared.

Admitting that she is a "blank sheet of paper" in this field, however, her love and passion for tea has urged Ms. Hoang Luong (40 years old, living in Ho Chi Minh City) to decide to take an 8-day leave to attend a tea master course.

"In my more than ten years of working, I have never taken more than three days off. This time, my colleagues didn't know where I was going," Ms. Luong said. After the course, she said that she not only gained more knowledge about tea but also developed a greater love for tea.

Mr. Huy Bao flew from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City, excited to participate in this special course.

The female student said that she came here to study not to become a famous tea master, but to be able to become someone who can make a truly delicious cup of tea for herself and her loved ones. That is what she is most passionate about.

According to tea master Ngo Thi Thanh Tam, this first course had 15 students participating, although the number of registrations exceeded expectations. She shared that the path to becoming a tea master had to go through many difficulties, going through many classes with different levels of difficulty.

"However, the academy will provide all possible support to help you become tea masters, experts in the tea industry, knowledgeable about tea making and drinking techniques to start a business, work in tea-related fields, or possibly join the academy's teaching staff in the future, helping the Vietnamese tea industry develop," the tea master expressed.

What is tea artist?

A tea master is someone who has a deep understanding of the art of tea culture, from the process of selecting tea leaves, tea brewing techniques, to enjoying and conveying the essence of tea culture. The job of a tea master is not only to create delicious cups of tea, but also to spread the spirit of tranquility, the connection between people and culture, history, and nature through each cup of tea. They play the role of preserving and promoting traditional values, while sharing knowledge and passion for tea with the community.
