Tang Long Bridge will not open to traffic before Tet due to lack of materials
Tang Long Bridge is an important project, spanning Trau Trau canal, located on La Xuan Oai street, Thu Duc city. The project has a total area of 2.6 hectares, affecting 34 households and has an investment of more than 741 billion VND. The main objective of the project is to improve road traffic connectivity and serve waterway transport from the High-Tech Park to Rach Chiec river, contributing to promoting economic development and improving urban infrastructure in the area.
The project includes the construction of two new parallel bridges across Trau Trau canal, each 11 m wide with 2 traffic lanes. In addition, the project also includes a system of retaining walls and residential roads at both ends of the bridge. This is a key item to meet the increasing demand for freight transport and travel needs of local people.
According to information from the Traffic Department, compensation, support and site handover have been basically completed, creating favorable conditions to accelerate construction progress. However, the shortage of construction materials in the past has affected the project completion plan. The Traffic Department affirmed that it will make efforts to accelerate the progress and ensure the quality of the project, with the entire project expected to be opened to traffic on April 30, 2025.
Tang Long Bridge, when completed, will not only help reduce traffic pressure on La Xuan Oai Street but also significantly support freight transport from the High-Tech Park. The project is expected to become an important part of the regional transport network, contributing to improving the quality of life of people and promoting urban development in Thu Duc City.
