Sliding down the raft to catch fish is an unforgettable experience when visiting the Mo O eco- tourism area (Tran De district).

The Mo O marine ecotourism area is located near the My Thanh river mouth in the East Sea region, and is home to a rich variety of birds, reptiles, and marine life.

Here, the traditional method of sliding down bamboo poles to catch fish and shrimp has been practiced for over a hundred years.

Due to silt deposition, many muddy areas are impassable for kilometers, so people have devised a way to move across the mud by joining together many thin wooden planks.

Glorious summerSummer is a time for rest and relaxation, a break from books after a long and stressful school year. For many students today, the summer months have truly become a meaningful "third semester" as young people proactively step out of their comfort zones to experience life, improve themselves, and spread noble human values to the community.
The way to move involves standing or kneeling on a wooden board with one foot on top and the other foot in the mud pushing the board forward. The bending motion, which causes the buttocks to lift high during sliding, is what is called "butt sliding."

The boats are typically made from pieces of wood joined together. The wood is usually from the water tamarind, oil palm, or Terminalia catappa tree because of its high durability; with proper care, they can last for 2-3 years. For convenience, people also add handrails and places to hold baskets, drinks, and even food.

Mr. Ly Minh, a resident who has been practicing the craft of sliding on mudflats for over 25 years, said: "It looks simple, but you need the right technique to be fast and maintain stamina. When sliding, one knee rests on the mudflat, while the other foot pushes off the mud to propel the mudflat forward. Both hands hold onto the handles to control the direction as desired. For those with good health, each push can propel the mudflat up to 3 meters."

In recent years, snowboarding has attracted many tourists to visit and experience it.
