At Noi Binh Da communal house (Thanh Oai district, Hanoi), the opening ceremony of Binh Da festival 2024 was held with an impressive art night and an art performance by 200 drones opening the journey back to the roots "South Thang Long - Hanoi Heritage Road".
Binh Da Festival is one of the great traditional festivals of the region. Through the festival, people want to recall the memories of the early days of the country's birth and founding, and commemorate the merits of the national ancestor Lac Long Quan.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Chairman of Thanh Oai District People's Committee Bui Van Sang said that despite many ups and downs, and sometimes being interrupted by war, the traditional Binh Da festival has been preserved and passed down through many generations with all the solemn rituals according to ancient customs. Over time, the festival has increasingly spread and developed, attracting a large number of tourists from all over the world.
Noi Binh Da Communal House was recognized as a national historical and cultural relic in 1990. Binh Da Festival was recognized as the first national intangible cultural heritage of Hanoi city in 2014.
This year's Binh Da Festival takes place from April 12 to April 14 (ie March 4 to 6, Giap Thin year 2024) with many unique rituals.

Along with the opening of Binh Da festival, the tourist route "South Thang Long - Hanoi Heritage Road - A place to return to the origin" was also officially announced, connecting heritage in 3 districts of Thanh Oai, Ung Hoa, and My Duc.
This tourist route is the first official inner-city tourist route announced in the plan to develop a system of tourist routes connecting the center of Hanoi with localities in the suburbs of Hanoi and further connecting with other provinces and cities in the Hanoi capital region and the Red River Delta region.
On this journey, visitors will explore the "South Thang Long Heritage Road" with craft villages and relics imbued with culture and history... of the land south of Hanoi.
That is Noi Binh Da communal house (Binh Minh commune, Thanh Oai district) associated with the legend of Lac Long Quan and Au Co - the legend of the ancestors of the Vietnamese people.
Incense stick craft village (Quang Phu Cau commune, Ung Hoa district) is famous for its photo spots because of the attractive colors and arrangements of incense sticks and many other beautiful features of the local craft and culture.
And the weaving village (Phung Xa commune, My Duc district), often called after the unique product My Duc Silk Village - Lotus Silk will bring visitors experiences from the stages of growing mulberry, raising silkworms, spinning silk, weaving fabric, growing lotus to make lotus silk thread, weaving and embroidering lotus silk to create unique products.
