Athlete Pham Tien San (Bac Giang) won the Gold Medal at the National Triathlon Championship and the Silver Medal at the 2025 World Triathlon Cup

From April 12-15, 2025, at Tam Chuc National Tourist Area, Ha Nam province, the Asian Triathlon Federation, Vietnam Triathlon Federation in coordination with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ha Nam will organize the World Triathlon Cup and the National Triathlon Championship 2025.

This year’s tournament is large-scale, with 80 athletes and coaches from 7 countries and territories participating in the World Cup, including Malaysia, Singapore, Jordan, Qatar, India, Indonesia, the Philippines and Vietnam. The national championship has 145 athletes and coaches from 13 provinces, cities and sectors across the country; the grassroots tournament has 70 athletes.

Athletes compete in 6 events: Men's and Women's Individual Sprint Triathlon (750m swim - 20km bike - 5km run), Men's and Women's Individual Sprint Duathlon (5km run - 20km bike - 2.5km run) and Men's and Women's Individual Sprint Aquathlon (500m swim - 2.5km run). Triathlon is a sport that combines three disciplines: Swimming, cycling and running; competing on real terrain.

Athlete Pham Tien San (Bac Giang, podium number 1) received the gold medal in the Duathlon spint event of the 2025 National Triathlon Championship .

Through the organization of the tournament, creating a healthy playground, contributing to widely popularizing and developing the Triathlon training movement nationwide; discovering and selecting excellent athletes to prepare for the upcoming SEA Games and ASIAD. At the same time, testing and evaluating the capacity and professional qualifications of the referee team, coaches, and management staff in training and organizing competitions. This is a meaningful activity, aiming to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day on April 30 (1975 - 2025).

Athlete Pham Minh Cong (Bac Giang, podium number 2) received 01 silver medal in the youth Duathlon event at the 2025 National Triathlon Championship .

Bac Giang delegation has 02 athletes participating in the competition, determined to win 03 medals. In which, athlete Pham Tien San excellently won 01 silver medal at the World Triathlon Cup and 01 gold medal in the Duathlon spint event at the 2025 National Triathlon Championship; athlete Pham Minh Cong won 01 silver medal in the Duathlon youth event./.
