Since yesterday (May 4), Thanh Hoa athlete - Pham Thi Van and the Vietnam Swimming Team have left for Cambodia to attend the 32nd SEA Games. This is the second consecutive time Pham Thi Van has participated in the largest sports event in the region.

On the afternoon of May 4, the Vietnamese swimming team with 28 members, including a team leader, 6 coaches and 21 athletes (16 men, 5 women) officially set off for Cambodia to participate in the 32nd SEA Games.
In her second time participating in the SEA Games, young athlete Pham Thi Van from Thanh Hoa showed more confidence than before: "I'm ready, just waiting to compete!", the female athlete from Ngoc Lac shared that she wanted to surpass herself, by improving and enhancing her personal achievements.
In the 50m butterfly event, the athlete from Thanh Hoa aims to improve her time of 27.58 seconds to less than or exactly 27.00 seconds. In the 50m freestyle event, Pham Thi Van's best time is 26.20 seconds - the achievement that helped this athlete win the gold medal at the 2022 National Sports Festival. Before leaving for Cambodia, Pham Thi Van excitedly shared that she will do her best to break her personal achievements at the upcoming Games.

According to the competition schedule, Pham Thi Van will participate in 9 events, including 4 team events and 5 individual events. Of these, the 50m butterfly and 50m freestyle will be the most notable events for this female athlete.
The swimming event of the 32nd SEA Games is scheduled to take place from May 6 to 11 at the Aquatic Center, Morodok (Phnompenh, Cambodia). This year, the Vietnam Aquatic Sports Association and the General Department of Sports and Physical Training set a target for the swimming team to try to achieve 10 gold medals.
