April, a month of dreamy sunshine.

Beans on the trellis of yellow-flowered gourds by the pond

Grasshoppers and locusts

Dragonflies greet the sunshine and fly into the blue sky.

The southerly breeze brings a refreshing coolness to the countryside on a late afternoon.

We return, packing up our passions.

Sending into the years an unfinished vow.

We'll go to the dock to wait for the ferry to cross.

The river water overflows, stretching far and wide along the banks.

Spread your hand and count your foolish deeds.

The rhythm of the six-eight verse is incorrect, and the rhyme is out of sync.

Half a lifetime spent in the hustle and bustle of the city.

Lost in thought, the sunlight casts a bewildered glow.
