Digital transformation - bringing AI into teaching at VAS

While the application of AI in comprehensive and effective education remains a big challenge, at Vietnam Australia International School (VAS), digital transformation has been fully implemented throughout the system.

From the 2025-2026 school year , VAS students will have one AI lesson per week in the Digital World and Digital Transformation program, with content designed to suit each age group from grades 1-12 .

"The school expects that by high school level, in addition to knowing how to effectively apply AI, VAS students will also be able to create practical AI applications to serve themselves and society," a VAS representative shared.

VAS students presented the Otto project - an AI-based waste sorting robot that can automatically open the correct bin lid corresponding to the type of waste, at the "VASer for the community" program for the 2023-2024 school year.

This is not simply about introducing a new curriculum, but a digital transformation process that covers many areas, from investment in infrastructure, equipment, information technology systems and security, to the most important factor: human resources. and finally, AI education.

Over the past two years, VAS has implemented a series of training programs on AI and digital skills for teachers, AI workshops for parents, career counseling programs in the AI ​​era for students, etc.
