"Childhood Moon" about Uncle Ho's childhood is shown in the series of films celebrating major holidays.

The film screening was organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Department of Cinema, in coordination with the Central Documentary and Scientific Film Studio, Vietnam Animation Studio, People's Army Cinema and localities nationwide, from April 30 to May 20.

According to the Department of Cinema, the films selected for screening this time include 11 works, with diverse genres such as feature films, documentaries, and animations.

The highlight is the feature film “The Moon of Childhood” produced by Giai Phong Film Joint Stock Company. The film was written by Dang Thi Thanh Binh, directed by Meritorious Artist Ho Ngoc Xum, and set in the years 1895-1901 when Uncle Ho (childhood name Nguyen Sinh Cung) and his parents Nguyen Sinh Sac, Hoang Thi Loan and his brother Nguyen Sinh Khiem visited Hue for the first time.

The work stars Tran Viet Bac, Ngo Le Quyen, Pham Huu Dai, Luu Van An, Ali Quang Khai, Bach Cong Khanh, Kim Ngan, Hoang Phuc, Dinh Uy...

In addition, the film series also includes the following works: Documentary films "915 Company forever shines the fiery epic", "President Ho Chi Minh with the thousand-year-old capital", "In the heart of the city I love", "Contractor of the year U.SOM" produced by the Central Documentary and Scientific Film Studio and "Ho Chi Minh Journalist", "Unification of the country - the chosen path", "Awakening and resolving" produced by the People's Army Cinema.

The animated films shown this time include: "The sound of the gong on Nua mountain", "The tree of wishes" and "The flower for Uncle Ho" produced by Vietnam Animation Studio.
