International gold price today November 30, 2023
At 8:52 a.m. today (November 29, Vietnam time), the world spot gold price stood at around 2,043.2 USD/ounce, up 4.2 USD/ounce compared to last night. The price of gold futures for February 2024 on the Comex New York floor was at 2,063.8 USD/ounce.
On the night of November 29 (Vietnam time), the spot gold price today on the world market stood at around 2,039 USD/ounce. Gold for February 2024 delivery on the Comex New York floor was at 2,060 USD/ounce.
The world gold price on the night of November 29 was about 11.8% higher (215 USD/ounce) than at the beginning of 2023. World gold converted to the bank USD price was 60.5 million VND/tael, including taxes and fees, about 13.1 million VND/tael lower than the domestic gold price as of the end of the afternoon session on November 29.
Gold prices in the world market have cooled down a bit, while domestic gold prices have dropped rapidly from the historical peak of 74.5 million VND/tael that was just set. World gold is forecast to reach a historical peak at the beginning of the new month.
After a strong breakout in the Asian and European markets in the trading session on November 29, at times reaching nearly 2,050 USD/ounce, the world gold price decreased slightly in the early session in the US market, down to about 2,039 USD/ounce due to increased profit-taking pressure.
The world gold price cooled down when the USD increased slightly again. The DXY index (measuring the greenback's fluctuations against a basket of six major currencies) increased from 102.3 points to 102.8 points at the beginning of the trading session on November 29 in the US market.
However, demand for precious metals remains quite high.
In general, world gold prices are still in an uptrend according to technical analysis.
Gold Price Forecast
According to expert Nicky Shiels from MKS PAMP Group, the world gold price could reach a historical high in the next 10 days, that is, in the first week of December 2023.
Since hitting the bottom of 1,930 USD/ounce, gold has had a continuous breakthrough, with an average increase of 8 USD/day. And at this rate of increase, the world gold price will reach 2,100 USD/ounce (equivalent to 62.3 million VND/tael).
Thus, if we calculate the current difference of about 13 million VND, the domestic gold price will reach 75.3 million VND/tael.
The upward trend of world gold prices is forecast quite clearly when the weakening of the USD is inevitable in the context that the US Federal Reserve (Fed) is forecast to cut interest rates for the first time in the first half of 2024.
According to experts, the sooner the Fed cuts interest rates, the faster gold will reach new peaks.
