Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is still 4.575 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.

World spot gold stood at 2,324.06 USD/ounce, down 2.29 USD/ounce compared to yesterday's trading session.
The yellow metal fell amid a slew of key news that will impact the market. The Commerce Department is set to release the third and final revision of first-quarter GDP, which is expected to remain steady at 1.3%. In addition, preliminary figures on the merchandise trade balance and wholesale inventories for May will be released. Analysts expect durable goods orders to fall 0.1%.
Currently, the most anticipated report this week is the May personal consumption expenditure (PCE) data from the US Department of Commerce.
Gold Price Forecast
According to UBS analyst Giovanni Staunovo, the market's current focus remains on upcoming US economic data. If the data confirms that the US economy can achieve a soft landing, the Fed may cut interest rates. Staunovo said that gold is still supported and prices could head towards $ 2,600 / ounce by the end of the year.
Analysts at CPM Group predict that gold prices will be higher in the next week or two, during which time a series of political, economic and financial market issues could push the price of gold to $2,400 an ounce, or even $2,450 an ounce.
