The liberation of Hanoi in 1954 was a great historical event, a great festival not only for the people of Hanoi, but also the happiness of the people of the whole country in general. This was a bright milestone marking the complete defeat of French colonialism in Vietnam, opening a new period of development for the capital and the country. In the exciting atmosphere of celebrating the Liberation Day of the Capital, all levels, sectors and localities in Quang Ninh have been focusing on implementing many meaningful activities to further promote the revolutionary tradition, patriotism and the strength of national solidarity.
On the morning of October 10, 1954, the City Military Commission and the People's Army units divided into many wings to launch a historic march into Hanoi. The whole "forest" of people eagerly welcomed the troops returning to take over Hanoi after nearly 9 years of persistent and resilient resistance against foreign invaders. The red flag with a yellow star fluttered on top of the ancient Flagpole, marking the day the Capital was completely liberated.
The liberation of Hanoi was not only a joy for the people of the capital, but also a historical event, a great festival for the people of the whole country and our overseas Vietnamese. People from provinces and cities across the country rallied and celebrated the liberation of the capital. International friends and peace-loving people around the world joined in the joy, reporting and introducing our resounding victory. This day also became a milestone in the history of construction and development of the capital and the country when Northern Vietnam was completely freed from the domination of colonial empires, the working people took control of their own destiny, and enthusiastically set about building a new society.
During the historic October days, in the joy of the people of the whole country in general, the people of all ethnic groups in Quang Ninh province in particular are also looking forward to celebrating the Liberation Day of the Capital. Many meaningful propaganda activities, along with emulation movements among cadres, party members and people are being carried out with a vibrant atmosphere.
Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department Nguyen Thi Kim Nhan said: Following the direction of the Central Propaganda Department, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department has issued and widely disseminated the Propaganda Outline and slogans to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital to cadres, party members, union members, and people of all walks of life in the province. In particular, focusing on propagating the great achievements of the Party and our people in the revolutionary cause of national liberation, national reunification, construction and protection of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; on the achievements of the country and Quang Ninh province, especially after 40 years of renovation; fighting and refuting false, hostile information and viewpoints, distorting history, opposing the Party and State, dividing the great national unity bloc...
Through that, it continues to affirm the correct and wise leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, President Ho Chi Minh and the spirit of great national unity as the decisive factor for all victories of the Vietnamese revolution. The content of propaganda on the Liberation Day of the Capital has also been informed by sectors, organizations and localities in regular Party cell meetings and on the electronic information pages of localities and units. The Propaganda Departments of districts, towns and city Party Committees have actively mobilized reporters, propagandists, cadres, Party members, union members, association members and people to follow, update, post, share and spread positive information about the significance and importance of the Liberation Day of the Capital for the revolutionary cause of the Party, the country and the people of Vietnam.
The propaganda activities to celebrate the anniversary throughout the province were carried out in many vivid, practical, effective, focused, and educational forms; combined with promoting propaganda of patriotic emulation movements, the efforts and determination of the entire political system of Quang Ninh province to focus on overcoming the consequences of storm No. 3, focusing on implementing solutions to complete the theme of the work, goals, and tasks of socio-economic development, well preparing conditions for party congresses at all levels, towards the 16th Provincial Party Congress.
Coal industry units also focused on promoting propaganda about the significance and great historical value of the Capital Liberation Day associated with propaganda to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam National Coal Corporation, now Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group 10/10 (1994-2024). At the same time, focusing on discovering, replicating and spreading typical collective and individual examples in production, study and work in various fields, in patriotic emulation movements of TKV in particular, of Hanoi Capital and the country in general, actively joining hands to contribute to building and defending the Fatherland.

Therefore, the Party Committee of the company has directed its affiliated Party cells, organizations and unions to organize information and propaganda on the Liberation of the Capital, associated with the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group; Propagating the spirit of "Discipline and Unity" of TKV miners, the achievements, and the great contributions of TKV to the socio-economic development of the country in flexible forms, ensuring practicality and suitability to actual conditions, such as visual propaganda through banners, billboards, posters, on the company's internal information page and social networking site...
Since the autumn of 70 years ago until now, together with the capital Hanoi, Quang Ninh province under the wise leadership of the Party, with the solidarity of the entire political system, the unity of the provincial leadership team and the solid support of the trust and great consensus of the people of the mining area, Quang Ninh has taken steady and confident steps on the journey of innovation and expansion, gradually affirming its position and strong momentum in each stage of development.
