In the joyful atmosphere of commemorating the Liberation of Hanoi, various levels of government, sectors, and localities in Quang Ninh province have been focusing on implementing many meaningful activities to further promote the revolutionary tradition, patriotic spirit, and the strength of national unity.

On the morning of October 10, 1954, the City Military and Political Committee and units of the People's Army divided into several columns to launch a historic march into Hanoi. A "forest" of people excitedly welcomed the returning troops to take over Hanoi after nearly nine years of persistent and tenacious resistance against foreign invaders. The red flag with a yellow star fluttered atop the ancient flagpole, marking the day the capital was completely liberated.

The liberation of Hanoi was not only a joyous occasion for the people of the capital, but also a historic event, a great celebration for the entire nation and Vietnamese expatriates abroad. People in provinces and cities across the country held rallies and celebrations to welcome the liberation of the capital. International friends and peace-loving people around the world joined in the joy, reporting and sharing in our resounding victory. This day also became a milestone in the history of the capital's and the country's development, as North Vietnam was completely freed from the yoke of colonial imperialism, and the working people took control of their own destiny, enthusiastically embarking on building a new society.

During these historic days of October, amidst the joy of the entire nation, the people of Quang Ninh province, in particular, are also commemorating the Liberation of Hanoi. Many meaningful propaganda activities and emulation movements among cadres, Party members, and the people are being implemented with great enthusiasm.

According to Nguyen Thi Kim Nhan, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department: Following the directives of the Central Propaganda Department, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department has issued and widely disseminated the Propaganda Outline and slogans commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of Hanoi to cadres, Party members, association members, union members, and all strata of the people throughout the province. The focus is on publicizing the great achievements of the Party and the nation in the revolutionary cause of national liberation, reunification, and the building and protection of the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland; the achievements of the country and Quang Ninh province, especially after 40 years of reform; and combating and refuting false, hostile, and distorted information and viewpoints that undermine the Party and State and divide the national unity...

Through this, the correct and wise leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, President Ho Chi Minh, and the spirit of national unity are reaffirmed as the decisive factors in all the victories of the Vietnamese revolution. The content of the propaganda commemorating the Liberation of Hanoi has also been disseminated by various sectors, organizations, and localities during regular Party branch meetings and on local and unit websites.
