Van Quan: more than 500 million VND to support the removal of temporary and dilapidated houses - Lang Son Newspaper and Radio and Television Station

- On April 15, 2025, the District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Van Quan district organized the launching ceremony of the movement "Join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" in the district in 2025.

In 2024 and early 2025, with the determination of the entire political system and the consensus of the people, the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the district has achieved many positive results. Implementing Resolution No. 188-NQ/TU dated October 25, 2024 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Van Quan has completed the construction of 206 new houses. Implementing Decision No. 270/QD-UBND dated January 24, 2025 of the Provincial People's Committee, the district has reviewed and summarized 611 households in need of new construction or repair, and is actively implementing. For households with meritorious services, the district strives to complete the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in April 2025. The remaining households are expected to complete before September 30, 2025, of which the district is determined to shorten the progress, completing before August 30, 2025.

Leaders of Van Quan district awarded the "Golden Heart" Certificate to thank businesses and philanthropists who have accompanied and supported the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses.

In his speech, comrade Hoang Van Thuan, Chairman of the District People's Committee, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee for the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses and the development of social housing in the district, called on all cadres, party members, businesses and people to promote the spirit of solidarity, join hands and contribute effectively to the movement, contributing to the sustainable development of Van Quan.

At the ceremony, many agencies, units, businesses and philanthropists registered to support the movement with a total amount of more than 500 million VND.
