On the afternoon of January 11, the Office of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee held a conference to summarize the office's work in 2023 and a conference for cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers in 2024. Speaking at the direction, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Phan Van Mai praised the efforts and results of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Office in 2023. He commented that the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Office has done a good job of advising the work of the People's Committee and the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee; as well as having many new points in organization and operation, the advising work is more rigorous and methodical.
In 2024, comrade Phan Van Mai requested the Office of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to focus on doing better advisory work. In particular, improving quality, ensuring progress, reviewing advisory decisions to ensure authority, order of documents, procedures and progress. The advisory process must determine the focus and key points, ensuring that work is not missed or delayed, especially the important matters of the Government, the City Party Committee, the People's Council and the people of Ho Chi Minh City.
At the same time, improve coordination within the Office of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee as well as coordinate with departments, branches, units, and localities in advising the People's Committee and the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee. Along with that, focus more on administrative reform in general and the construction of digital offices and electronic offices in particular.
He noted that the Office of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee must identify itself as a leading agency in building digital government. In particular, it is necessary to review the contents, complete the process, deploy, train and supervise the implementation of digital transformation; continue to implement measures to ensure safety, network security and information security.
Along with that, he requested the Office of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to strengthen the discipline and quality of Party activities; enhance the sense of responsibility and solidarity of the entire office. Take the results of each individual's task performance, the results of the emulation in performing tasks in 2024, the emulation campaign to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification as a measure. At the same time, pay attention to the lives of cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers, especially those with low incomes.
On this occasion, the Office of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister to 6 individuals; Certificates of Merit from the Minister of Foreign Affairs to the Office of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and 1 individual; Commemorative Medals for Diplomacy from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to 2 individuals; Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to 54 individuals.
In 2023, the Office of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee will focus on thoroughly grasping and effectively implementing the resolutions of the Central Committee, the City Party Committee, and the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council in all areas to all cadres, civil servants, and public employees. The Working Group of the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee will continue to promote efficiency, monitor, urge, inspect, and evaluate the implementation of tasks assigned by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and the Chairman of the City People's Committee to the units, and take appropriate and timely direction measures.
In 2024, the Office of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee will focus on a number of key tasks and solutions in the spirit of "Innovation - Creativity, emulation to build Ho Chi Minh City into a smart, modern city"; the theme of the year: "Determination to effectively implement Digital Transformation and Resolution No. 98/2023/QH15 of the National Assembly".
Along with that, ensure effectiveness and efficiency in direction and operation at the office, tighten discipline and order associated with promoting decentralization, authorization, promoting the responsibility of the head, individualizing responsibility along with strengthening inspection and supervision of the performance of tasks of departments, offices and units.
