The Office of the National Assembly continues to innovate and improve the overall quality of all aspects of its work.

NDO - This afternoon, December 30, at the National Assembly House, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man attended and gave a speech at the Conference to review the work of 2024 and deploy tasks for 2025 of the National Assembly Office.

Attending the event were Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Duc Hai; Secretary General of the National Assembly, Secretary of the Party Committee of the agency, Head of the National Assembly Office Le Quang Tung; members of the Party Central Committee, members of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Standing Committee of the Ethnic Council, committees of the National Assembly, leaders of the National Assembly Office, committees of the National Assembly Standing Committee; and a large number of cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees, and workers in the entire Party Committee of the agency and the National Assembly Office...

2024 is an important year in implementing and completing the goals and targets of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress. Although the world situation is changing rapidly and complicatedly; there are still many difficulties and challenges in the country, especially the severe impact of natural disasters and floods in 26 northern provinces and cities and some central provinces..., but with the drastic participation of the entire political system, the consensus and synergy of the entire Party, people and army, our country has basically completed the goals and targets of socio-economic development.

Along with the country's common achievements, the agencies of the National Assembly have constantly made efforts, innovated working methods, acted decisively, together with the agencies of the Government and agencies in the political system, promptly advised the National Assembly to consider and promulgate mechanisms and policies to remove difficulties and obstacles, overcome bottlenecks, unblock resources, focus highly on serving socio-economic development, ensuring national defense, security and improving people's lives.

As an agency directly advising and serving the National Assembly, the National Assembly Standing Committee, the Ethnic Council, the National Assembly's committees, and the Committees under the National Assembly Standing Committee, the National Assembly Office deploys, implements, and completes many quite heavy requirements and tasks, including sudden, new, difficult, and complicated contents.

The collective and each cadre, civil servant, public employee and worker of the National Assembly Office constantly strive to promote tradition, solidarity, consensus, overcome difficulties, continue to innovate and improve working methods towards becoming more professional, effective and modern, promote creative thinking, fighting spirit, improve the ability to forecast situations and promptly respond to many arising issues, proactively advise and propose many initiatives and solutions... to successfully complete assigned tasks.

With the attention, leadership and close and timely direction of the National Assembly Party Delegation, the National Assembly Standing Committee, the National Assembly Office Party Committee, especially the close and drastic direction of the National Assembly Chairman and Vice Chairmen; the regular, close and effective coordination of the Standing Committee of the National Council, the National Assembly Committees, the leaders of the Committees under the National Assembly Standing Committee, the leaders of the National Assembly delegations and relevant agencies and organizations.

The National Assembly Office has promptly advised and served the successful organization of 6 National Assembly sessions (4 extraordinary sessions and 2 regular sessions); 36 meetings of the National Assembly Standing Committee (11 regular sessions, 2 legal thematic sessions, 20 other sessions); 7 important conferences of the National Assembly Standing Committee; and many other activities of the National Assembly Chairman, Vice Chairmen of the National Assembly, the National Assembly Standing Committee, National Assembly agencies, and Committees under the National Assembly Standing Committee.

These positive results have significantly contributed to the overall success of the National Assembly Standing Committee and the National Assembly in 2024.

In 2025, the National Assembly will have many activities towards the 80th anniversary of the first general election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly; the workload of the National Assembly and its agencies is also very large in the fields of legislation, supervision, and decision on important issues; preparation for the summary of the 15th National Assembly term, election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.

To successfully carry out the assigned tasks in 2025, the Office of the National Assembly determines to continue to inherit, promote experience, innovate, and comprehensively improve the quality of all aspects of work; consolidate and ensure the quality of the support staff; enhance professionalism, science, and coordination to improve the quality and effectiveness of consulting and service, and be determined to excellently complete the tasks.

The Office of the National Assembly will focus on continuing to advise and serve the Party organization in the National Assembly and the agencies of the National Assembly to successfully implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress; deploy the conclusions at the monthly meetings of key leaders of the Party, the State, the National Assembly Chairman and Vice Chairmen; and contribute opinions to the contents and projects as assigned and directed by the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat.

Continue to organize the implementation of contents and projects chaired by the Office of the National Assembly and assigned by the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, the Chairman of the National Assembly and Vice Chairmen of the National Assembly.

Advise and serve the successful organization of the 15th National Assembly sessions: the 9th and 10th sessions and other extraordinary sessions in 2025 (if any); advise and serve the sessions, conferences and meetings of the National Assembly Standing Committee.

The Office of the National Assembly advises and serves the consideration and decision of important issues on socio-economics, finance, and the State budget; personnel work, organizational structure, and a number of other important issues; and develops the implementation of the Plan to summarize the term of the 15th National Assembly.

Speaking at the conference to review the work in 2024 and deploy tasks in 2025 of the National Assembly Office, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man highly appreciated the sense of responsibility, dedication, and professionalism of the cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees, and workers of the National Assembly Office in 2024; and requested that the National Assembly Office continue to innovate working methods, improve the quality of advice, and serve the National Assembly sessions well.

The National Assembly Chairman emphasized: 2025 is the year of Party Congresses at all levels, leading up to the 14th National Party Congress; preparing for the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and the election of deputies to People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term; the year of important political events such as the 95th anniversary of the Party's founding, the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh, the 50th anniversary of the complete liberation of the South and national reunification, the 80th anniversary of the founding of the country, and preparing to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the first general election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly.

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man requested the National Assembly Office, the Party Committee of the agency and the Trade Union of the National Assembly Office to continue promoting the spirit of responsibility, solidarity and creativity to successfully complete assigned tasks.

The National Assembly Chairman requested to focus on implementing immediate tasks and work: to continue to innovate working methods, urgently complete the work of streamlining the National Assembly's committees, agencies under the National Assembly Standing Committee, departments, units, and organizations under the National Assembly Office according to the Central's request.

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man also suggested reviewing and proposing amendments and supplements to laws and resolutions related to the arrangement and streamlining of the apparatus, amendments and supplements to the Session Rules and the Regulations on the operations of the National Assembly Standing Committee; continuing to improve and innovate, continuing to enhance the quality, advising and serving the sessions well; cadres, party members and workers need to strictly maintain discipline, order and office culture; and step up the prevention and fight against corruption, waste and negativity.

Referring to the important content of the Politburo's Resolution 57 on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation, the National Assembly Chairman suggested: it is necessary to promote the application of information technology and digital transformation in the activities of the National Assembly Office, associated with administrative procedure reform, ensuring transparency, increasing connectivity, and sharing information and data in a timely and effective manner.

The National Assembly Chairman believes that with the continuous efforts and dedication of cadres and civil servants of the National Assembly agencies, especially in the current new context when the entire political system is implementing Resolution 18, each cadre and Party member must be steadfast and believe in the Party's leadership to successfully achieve the set goals.

The conference heard representatives of the leaders of the Department of Law, Department of Ethnic Minorities, Department of Supervision Services, Department of Delegation Affairs and the Trade Union of the People's Representative Newspaper report and discuss some outstanding contents and results achieved and directions and tasks for 2025. Also at the conference, the Office of the National Assembly awarded emulation and commendation titles of the Office of the National Assembly in 2024 to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements.
