This year’s Mid-Autumn Festival is less colorful, without the sound of drums and the bustling lion dance, but full of warmth and humanity, the whole country’s sharing towards the people of the Northern provinces. Large-scale Mid-Autumn Festival events have not been organized, and most of this funding has been and is being used to support the flood-hit provinces – where people are suffering heavy losses from the historic storm No. 3.
At Birla Children's Village - a place that takes care of nearly 100 children who have lost their source of support in Hanoi, for many months, the children have been eagerly waiting for the Mid-Autumn Festival to enjoy the feast and cherish the sparkling star lanterns.
Understanding the wishes of the children, the staff of the village and Hong Ha Stationery organized a simple but warm Mid-Autumn Festival for the children. The sparkling eyes, bright smiles, and singing and dancing performances that the children had spent a whole month practicing to perform were a way to thank Hong Ha Stationery and the sponsors. Also joining in the fun at the village's full moon festival were representatives of the Indian Embassy and sponsors presenting gifts to the Birla children. Together with Hong Ha Stationery, spread love to disadvantaged children, helping them to study and strive to become useful citizens for society.
