Van Ninh completes program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses

Accordingly, after screening, the whole district has 16 households eligible for support to build new and repair houses, the Provincial People's Committee approved the results of synthesizing the need to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the province in the period of 2024 - 2025, of which 10 houses are supported for repair and 6 houses are supported for new construction. On that basis, Van Ninh district has mobilized the entire political system to resolutely and in accordance with regulations to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for people; closely monitor and urge the construction unit to ensure the progress and quality of the project according to the "3 hard" criteria, in accordance with the instructions of the Ministry of Construction and the sample design.

Up to now, 100% of households repairing and building new houses have completed the project and been handed over for use. At the same time, the funding source for supporting new construction and house repair allocated by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province to the district has been transferred by the district to all communes and towns with supported households, and has disbursed 100%. During the implementation of the program, the locality has actively mobilized units, individuals, and people to support additional funding, materials, and working days for households. Thereby, 100% of households have contributed from 3 to 30 million VND to make their houses built and repaired more spacious.

In the coming time, Van Ninh district will continue to review and mobilize support sources from organizations and individuals to support households in need of repairing or building new houses when they have sufficient land conditions.

It is known that by the end of 2024, the whole Van Ninh district still has 278 poor households, accounting for 0.79%; 1,249 near-poor households, accounting for 3.54%. The rate of multidimensional poor and near-poor households in the whole district accounts for 4.33%.
