Quang Nam artists continue to promote tradition, creating excellent literary and artistic works

(QNO) - This is the request of the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - Head of the National Assembly Delegation of the province Le Van Dung sent to the artists of Quang Nam on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations, held this morning, July 25. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Lan - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and Ms. Huynh Thi Thuy Dung - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department attended the celebration at the Provincial Literature and Arts Association.

In 1948, in the Viet Bac resistance zone, the Party Central Committee headed by President Ho Chi Minh allowed the artists to organize the first Literature and Arts Congress in July 1948. This was an event of both political and cultural significance. The Party always considered culture, literature and art to be a political force of great significance in the struggle for national independence and liberation.

Throughout the 75-year journey (1948 - 2023) of construction and development, the history of the Vietnam Literature and Arts Association (now the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations) is the development journey of Vietnamese literature and arts since the Party's Outline on Vietnamese Culture in 1943 was born until now.

Generations of artists and writers have continued to walk steadily on the great path of revolution, living and creating at the forefront of the people's great struggle and labor. Through their meticulous and persistent artistic creations, they have made worthy contributions to the cause of national liberation, building and defending the Fatherland.

Particularly in Quang Nam, along with the historical flow of 75 years of formation, construction and development of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations, the Quang Nam Literature and Arts Association was established more than 26 years ago and has made significant contributions to the field of literature and arts with artists nationwide.

Since its inception, the Quang Nam Literature and Arts Association had only 48 members, including 9 central members with 3 majors: Theater, Literature and Music. Now the association has 230 members, including 62 central members with 8 majors. The artists have thousands of works and projects that have won many valuable awards domestically, regionally, nationally and internationally.

At the ceremony, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Le Van Dung acknowledged the dedication and contributions of the province's artists. He hoped that in the coming time, the artists would continue to uphold their traditions, further promote the creation and promotion of works on studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, building new people and a new cultural lifestyle...

On this occasion, the Union of Literature and Arts Associations also awarded 9 "For the Cause of Vietnamese Literature and Arts" medals to individuals who have made many contributions to literature and arts activities.

In addition, the Provincial Party Committee leaders also congratulated the three authors who have just received the State Prize for Literature and Arts, namely musician Hoang Bich, musician Phan Van Minh and photographer Le Van. The branches have also signed to register for the emulation movements launched by the Literature and Arts Association...
