Addressing the conference, Mr. Nguyen Duy Bac, Permanent Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, affirmed that 50 years after the country's reunification, Vietnamese literature and arts have continuously grown, affirming their role as a special spiritual resource, accompanying the nation in the process of building and developing the country.
Faced with the new requirements of the times and the new era in the country's development, Vietnamese culture and arts need to continue to be oriented firmly and invested in a strategic and systematic manner. Investing in culture and arts is not only developing a cultural field but also investing in the soft resources of the country, investing in human development, investing in the development of the country in the era of rising up.
In his concluding remarks at the conference, Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia, Politburo member and Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, stated that the presentations deeply touched on the 50-year development of Vietnamese literature and arts after the country's reunification, and at the same time proposed many solutions to develop literature and arts in the new era.
The Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission also requested that in the coming time, artists need to stick to reality, promote civic responsibility, constantly innovate, and contribute to building an advanced culture and art with strong national identity.
