Since the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975) until now, along with the development of the economy and society, literature and art in Dong Nai have made continuous progress. This is reflected in the fact that Dong Nai has many outstanding literary and artistic works, winning prestigious awards at competitions, festivals, and exhibitions at home and abroad, and at the same time, there have appeared many outstanding and prestigious artists in many fields.

For example, in the period 1979-1990, Dong Nai literature and arts had big names such as writers Ly Van Sam, Hoang Van Bon, Hoang Kim Chung... In the period 1991-2000, in the fields of theater, fine arts, music, photography, folk arts..., Dong Nai all had outstanding works and authors. Notably, the monumental works made of many materials by sculptors Tran Thanh Thanh, Sy Nguyen, Pham Muoi... contributed to beautifying the land and people of Dong Nai.

From 2001 to present, Dong Nai Literature and Arts has grown significantly in both quantity and quality, breadth and depth, increasingly affirming its important role in the cause of building and defending the country. As of 2024, Dong Nai Literature and Arts Association has nearly 300 members, operating in 9 majors. Literature and Arts works increasingly reflect the real life and people of Dong Nai with their own nuances in the colorful panorama of the renovation period of the country in general and Dong Nai in particular.

However, it must be frankly admitted that, despite important steps forward, Dong Nai's literature and arts have not yet developed to their full potential, and there is still a lack of great works that exploit the depth of the land and people of Dong Nai, which are rich in tradition, dynamism, and affection... In addition, the work of promoting and introducing works has not kept up with the trend of the times, so the spread of works is not high and not effective. Dong Nai also lacks "playgrounds" of stature to strongly promote the aspirations of dedication and creative capacity of artists...

The country in general and the province in particular are entering a new stage of development with the belief in innovation and strong integration for prosperity. Therefore, literature and arts must also "strive" to be creative, giving birth to many works that carry the breath of life and the stature of the times. Even literature and arts must go ahead, predict the situation, thereby contributing to orientation, creating consensus in society, spreading the good and the beautiful to make life better and better...
