Athletes from Yen Bai Provincial Journalists Association and Vietnam News Agency won first prize in the "Steps on the Clouds" Mountain Climbing Competition

This year's tournament has the participation of 100 athletes who are journalists and reporters working at news agencies and newspapers nationwide.

In the 2025 season, with a distance of about 12 km, athletes must overcome mountainous terrain and natural slopes, before conquering Ta Xua peak at an altitude of 2,865m above sea level.

On the journey to conquer Ta Xua mountain peak, athletes experience the feeling of sublimation when conquering the steep paths, crossing the ancient Rhododendron forest covered with moss. One of the highlights of the journey is the "Dragon's spine" - a narrow and long mountain range, hidden in the sea of clouds like a giant dragon's spine. This is a challenging route, requiring athletes to have courage and solid climbing skills. However, when overcoming this route, athletes will enjoy an extremely impressive scene with white clouds floating, covering the valleys below, creating a magical and majestic natural picture.

Ms. Tran Thu Trang, from Vietnam News Agency, was the first female athlete to cross the finish line.

After 2 hours and 15 minutes, athlete Trinh Hoang Yen - Yen Bai Provincial Journalists Association successfully reached the 2,865m milestone and became the athlete who won the first prize in the men's category of the competition. The first prize in the women's category belonged to athlete Tran Thu Trang - Vietnam News Agency, with a time of 3 hours.

It is known that during the organization of the Tournament, the Organizing Committee has ensured security, safety and professional conditions according to the regulations for athletes and forces participating in the Tournament. With the companionship, sharing, attention and support in the organization of the provincial leaders, district leaders, comrades in the Editorial Board of Vietnam Law Newspaper, businesses, travel agencies, media agencies, newspapers and the enthusiastic cooperation of athletes, the 2nd "Steps on the Clouds" Mountain Climbing Tournament to conquer Ta Xua peak was a great success.

The "Steps on the Clouds" mountain climbing competition to conquer Ta Xua peak in 2025, organized by Vietnam Law Newspaper in collaboration with the People's Committee of Tram Tau district, Yen Bai province, and Hung Viet Trading and Tourism Company Limited, aims to promote the beautiful images and unique tourist attractions of Tram Tau through the feelings of athletes - journalists to reach more domestic and foreign tourists. At the same time, promote adventure tourism based on exploiting the available natural advantages of the locality. From there, attract organizations, businesses, and individuals to invest and participate in service and tourism business activities to make Tram Tau an attractive tourist destination with the brand "Tram Tau warm spring, vast sea of clouds".
